Easy Solar System Craft

Does this count as a craft?

Not totally sure. But your kids can paint it! And then, if they’re like my kids, they can race to see how fast they can match the wooden planets to their respective divots.

This isn’t a tutorial but more of an idea post. We bought this wooden solar system at Hobby Lobby for under $10. Why am I not telling you how much? Because I swear I took a picture of the price tag, but I can no longer find it in my phone. I do, however, remember saying I could call this blog “Easy Solar System Craft for less than $10”.

So here we are!

We used watercolors because they’re easy to clean up, and the kids chose some metallic, black paint that we had in the cabinet for “space”.

The dry time was really quick and don’t @ me if this is cancer wood in California. Everything is cancerous in California. OK, I just went to check, and actually, it says it is not cancer wood in California. Also, this cost $6.49. Because the price tag was on the back.

What a roller coaster. I am an idiot.

Love you! Happy pseudo crafting!
